Marcel Napierala

Marcel Napierala is CEO of the Medbase Group, one of Switzerland's leading healthcare providers. A trained physiotherapist and economist, he co-founded Physiotherapiecity in Winterthur, ZH, in 2001, which later became Medbase. In 2010, he secured Migros as a strategic partner, which has since become the sole owner of the company.

Napierala, originally from the Bernese Oberland, remained with the company after the Migros acquisition. As CEO, he leads the group, which includes nearly 70 medical centres, 57 pharmacies, 42 dental clinics, more than 20 physiotherapy practices and the Zur Rose online pharmacy. Medbase employs 4,200 people and generates annual revenues of more than one billion Swiss francs.
