Dr. rer. publ. HSG René P. Buholzer

Dr René Paul Buholzer has been Managing Director and Delegate of the Board of Interpharma, the association of research-based pharmaceutical companies in Switzerland, since 2017.

Buholzer studied economics, political science and constitutional law at the University of St. Gallen, where he also obtained his doctorate (Dr rer. publ. HSG) and worked as a lecturer for two decades.

Prior to his current position, he was Global Head of Public Policy and Sustainability at Credit Suisse for more than ten years and a member of the Executive Board of economiesuisse. He represents the Swiss pharmaceutical industry in European (EFPIA) and international (IFPMA) industry associations as well as in numerous Swiss political and scientific bodies.
